“Lou was welcoming, warm, professional and competent. She created a space where mums felt at ease and safe. In addition to learning how to do baby massage, I gained so much more”.
I have over ten years experience teaching baby massage and working with families. I love babies and supporting new parents to bond and interact with their babies, learn from them and be confident and have fun too.
I will show you very simple but massage sequences that will help you and your baby relax. Babies love massage and it also has amazing benefits for soothing their aches and pains, including colic, reflux and teething. It also supports their cognitive and motor development and of course it can even help them sleep better.
There is plenty of evidence based research to support this, here is one: Infant massage: The practice and evidence-base to support it (British Journal of Midwifery201523:3,166-170).
“Lou is amazing and I highly recommend Baby Massage! You will not only learn how to massage your baby, but it is the place where you can share your experience, ask for advise and connect with other mums. Lou is an amazing host and teacher, every time after the session I felt more energised and inspired”.
Come and join me! I run monthly courses in Acton and Ealing, also and one to one and bespoke group sessions.

What to expect
Babies can be themselves; feed, cry or sleep, gurgle! Parents can just be parents and feed or comfort their babies as they need to.
I create a calm, comfortable and friendly environment to help parents/carers and babies unwind and enjoy special one to one time together.
A fun and easy to remember massage sequence, with songs and sensory play too.
Each time we meet I demonstrate simple massage strokes for a new body part to practice with your baby. These are repeated each week to become a whole body massage sequence. Over a 5 week course or during a one to one session you will become familiar and confident practicing this massage sequence routinely with your baby .
Baby massage classes are always a lot of fun as parents and their gorgeous little ones engage with each other. Also interacting with the other parents and their diverting babies too!
The massage sequence combines Indian, Swedish and Bowen techniques, Reflexology, Yoga movements and ways to practice “tummy time”.
Time for coffee, cake and chats with other parents.
A baby massage session includes teatime to discuss what is important to the group. Often this may be sleep issues, weaning, going back to work and the ups and downs of parenting, and we can talk about your experiences, share ideas and make friends.
What you need to bring: Only your babies & whatever you would normally take when you go out - changing and feeding stuff. (I provide cushions / beanbags and yoga mats for you, and a changing mat and clean towel to lay your baby).
Course length: 5 sessions of 75 minutes each
Course cost: £85 includes booklet, instruction sheet & mini jar of organic coconut oil, hot drinks and refreshments (normally a homemade cake!)
Babies’ age: 2 weeks - crawling. It is never too early or too late to start baby massage! However, attending a weekly class may be better from 4-6 weeks onwards as life can be a bit unpredictable with a brand newborn baby.
Who comes: Normally mothers come with their babies, however, fathers, partners, grandparents and other caregivers are also welcome.
Twins: It’s wonderful also to have twins and other multiple families attend my courses, and it’s great to come with a partner, friend or family member as it might be easier for you.
